| Impressions | Relating to Pay Per Click, the number of impressions are the number of times an ad has been displayed in a search engine, on sponsored pages or on the content network. |
| Google AdWords | Google AdWords is the Pay Per Click engine that Google uses to display ads on its search engine. |
| Yahoo Search Marketing | Yahoo Search Marketing is the Pay Per Click engine that Yahoo uses to display ads on its search engine. |
| Clicks | Clicks refer to the number of times an ad has been clicked on. |
| SEM | Search Engine Marketing is the advertising of a website on a search engine. Search Engine Marketing consists of Pay Per Click (sponsored results) and Search Engine Optimization (natural results). |
| SMM | Social Media Marketing is the practice of getting engaged with the community through social media sites such as Facebook or Ning. The main advantages are to generate exposure, opportunity & sales. |
